Forest Hills Stadium will be back for another solid lineup in 2019, revealing its first set of performers coming to Queens. The music venue will host shows by Weird Al Yankovic, My Morning Jacket, Greta Van Fleet, Jethro Tull and many more.
The Forest Hills Stadium schedule (so far):
May 25, 2019: Greta Van Fleet, a hard rock quartet from Michigan, will come to Queens as part of their 2019 March of The Peaceful Army world tour.
July 20, 2019: “Weird Al” Yankovic will take the stage at the Forest Hills Stadium for his “Strings Attached” tour but with a twist — his backup band will be the Queens Symphony Orchestra.
Aug. 10, 2019: It’s official. My Morning Jacket, an American rock band formed in Louisville, Kentucky, announced they’re only playing three gigs in 2019, which includes one night at Forest Hills Stadium.
Sept. 14, 2019: Jethro Tull will continue their 50th Anniversary Tour with a new run of shows. Ian Anderson will be joined by bassist David Goodier, keyboardist John O’Hara, guitarist Florian Opahle and drummer Scott Hammond.
This is just the first set of performers announced; a full line-up will be released in the coming months.
Formerly a tennis stadium and concert stage, Forest Hills Stadium re-opened in the summer of 2013 with a show by Mumford & Sons. Last year, Van Morrison and Willie Nelson, Jamiroquai, Boy George & Culture Club, and The National performed at the iconic Queens venue.
