Every October, Open House New York opens doors (literally) to hundreds of notable sites across the five boroughs for one weekend. This year OHNY will offer a mix of drop-in (open access) and ticketed sites, all celebrating “design, culture, infrastructure, and civic investment.”
OHNY 2025, taking place October 17–19, will open spaces of architectural and cultural significance that are normally inaccessible to New Yorkers, providing behind-the-scenes access to the city’s infrastructure and systems.
This year’s Open House New York Weekend unlocks 300 destinations across all five boroughs, inviting New Yorkers to step inside new architectural landmarks, explore vital infrastructure, wander through parks, visit workshops and private collections, and experience spaces that are usually off-limits. Previous lineups have included landmarks like the Woolworth Building and other high-profile architecture.
Kicking things off on October 16, the Launch Party sets the tone with food, drinks, and entertainment. Tickets for the Launch Party start at $125, with proceeds supporting the festival’s citywide programming.

While many sites are drop-in and free, meaning they are open to all without reservations, some require an advance reservation and a small fee (typically $7) due to security or capacity constraints.
